wx/net performs logging of real-time and historical records
according to parameters set in the configuration file. All of the protocol between the
computer and the weather instrument is handled by the server. The WeatherLogger hardware
accessory is supported as well, and Xmodem downloads a performed upon startup if one is
present and logging is enabled.
The stored data may then be retrieved from the server via a client. The server
possesses the ability to read historical data from an arbitrary number of directories,
although it always writes new data to a single directory. This allows new records to be
written to a hard drive, but old archived data may be searched for in another partition or
even on a CD-R.
